Newsletter

Read our Newsletter for February and March 2020. Containing information regarding Coronavirus and how we are helping the community along with local information for support groups and aid. It also contains updates from our launch events.

At Healthwatch South Gloucestershire we’re amazed and impressed at the speed our community has mobilised to support vulnerable groups. There are a wealth of Facebook groups popping up to cover our patch and we’ve been joining in.

We’ve already helped out an elderly resident concerned about food shopping by linking them up with Age UK South Gloucestershire. Their volunteers are DBS checked and know about Safeguarding. If you’re interested in joining them visit: https://www.ageuk.org.uk/southgloucestershire/get-involved/volunteer/

We’re continuing to reach out to residents of South Gloucestershire through Twitter and Facebook, and taking calls from those who don’t do digital. Over the coming weeks we’re getting in touch with GPs and pharmacies to help ease the pressure they are facing by upping our signposting function – and as we build up our knowledge of the support available during this crisis, we are here and ready to get you connected to the help that's out there! You can text, email, Facebook, tweet or use the phone and call us.
