Our report gives an overview of our activities for the year which has included work with The Hive looking at service experiences for people with learning disabilities and the South Gloucestershire patient discharge programme.
Healthwatch South Gloucestershire and Hivewatch volunteers undertook the Enter
and View visit during March 2019. The purpose of the visit was to understand the experience
that a patient with a learning disability would have when visiting Concord.
Hivewatch undertook the Enter and View visit to Southmead Emergency Department on 11 October 2018 with the aim of assessing the ED experience for people with learning difficulties. The findings of the visit can be found in this report.
Healthwatch South Gloucestershire was asked to undertake an Enter and View visit to Elgar Enablement Unit directed by South Gloucestershire’s Health Scrutiny Committee. This took place on 8 October 2018.
Healthwatch undertook a 12-month project looking into people's experiences of rehabilitation, reablement and recovery services. This work included a series of enter and view visits, followed by one to one interviews with patients after discharge.
